I’ve always had a love of books and reading from a very early age. Apparently, when I was very small and went with my Mum to pick my older brother up from school, I used to insist on taking my doll's pushchair but rather embarrassingly, filled it up with books instead! I attempted to write a few stories when I was a child and after losing touch with writing for a while, sat down at my laptop a few years ago and my first story, ‘The Squirrel Who Couldn’t Balance’ just ‘happened’. It felt so natural and since then, the stories just seemed to have flowed and my love of writing has returned with a vengeance. I am genuinely loving not only writing, but the entire process of creating my books from start to finish.
I also love spending time with my family, walking, visiting the theatre, and have a great love of music and dance. Of course, I love to read too and personally, I enjoy reading a wide variety of books, particularly historical fiction (especially anything about the Tudors or World War 2 era), crime and thriller novels plus, as a child, I was always drawn to animal stories.
